Welcome, International Students

The University of Dick and Balls is proud to welcome students from around the world. Our international student community represents over 40 countries, enriching campus life with diverse perspectives, cultures, and ideas. Our dedicated International Student Services office is here to support you from application through graduation.

English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following standardized tests:

Exemptions: Applicants who have completed at least two years of full-time study at an institution where English is the primary language of instruction may be exempt from English proficiency testing. Contact the International Admissions Office for details.

Application Requirements

In addition to the standard application requirements, international applicants must submit:

• Official Academic Transcripts — Transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES-member credential evaluation service (e.g., WES, ECE, or NACES). Course-by-course evaluation with GPA computation is required.
• Proof of English Proficiency — TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores sent directly from the testing agency.
• Financial Documentation — A completed Affidavit of Financial Support form along with a bank statement or letter from your financial institution showing sufficient funds to cover at least one year of tuition and living expenses.
• Passport Copy — A clear copy of the photo page of your valid passport.
• Visa Documentation — If already in the U.S., provide a copy of your current visa, I-20, and I-94 record.

Application Deadlines

International applicants should apply early to allow sufficient time for document processing and visa applications.

Note: These deadlines are earlier than domestic deadlines. Late applications may be considered on a space-available basis.

Visa Information

Once admitted, the International Student Services office will guide you through the visa process:

1. Receive Your I-20 — After submitting your financial documents and being admitted, UODNB will issue your Form I-20.
2. Pay the SEVIS Fee — Pay the I-901 SEVIS fee at fmjfee.com.
3. Schedule a Visa Interview — Contact your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate to schedule your F-1 visa interview.
4. Attend Your Interview — Bring your I-20, financial documents, admission letter, and passport to your interview.
5. Arrive in the U.S. — You may enter the U.S. no earlier than 30 days before your program start date.
